Lissa / Owner & Stylist

Lissa has been styling hair for over fifteen years, a career that began in high school. She has furthered her stylist’s education by taking extensive courses in New York City and here in Southern California with institutions like Bumble & Bumble, Wella, and Davines. In-house classes taught by the stylists of The Hive continue to provide her with invaluable, ongoing instruction on the varied and shifting practices and trends of the hair industry.

She is a balanced stylist with love for both cutting and coloring, as she feels the two compliment each other well, and finds cutting men’s hair to be equally satisfying. 

When she is not in the salon she can usually be found outside; camping, hiking, at the beach, and shopping at a local flea market or thrift store.
